I've always been obsessed with and been fascinated by weddings. And I don't think it was weird at all to decide what I wanted my engagement ring and wedding band to look like when I was 15, do you? Concealer: I actually switched it up quite a bit! But I picked Benefit's Erase Paste
Powder: Benefit Hello Flawless! Powder
Blush: MAC Pinch O Peach powder blush

Eyeshadow: I couldn't pick! I used a MAC paintpot almost every single day this year but my favorite actual eyeshadows were from the Naked Palette!
Liner/Mascara: My favorite liner this year was the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. Sadly I don't have one right now! :(

Lip Product: I also couldn't decide! So I picked a lip balm and a lipstick, the EOS lip balm in Sweet Mint and Mac's Angel Lipstick

Skincare: I don't really have a stand out product of 2011! I don't change up my routine that much. FAIL

Nailpolish: I have a combination! OPI's Pinking of You under OPI's Princesses Rule!

So it's a long shot. But I decided to try and take one picture a day, for the entire year. I may miss a day here and there, but I think it'll be really cool once it is December 2012, to be able to look back at every single day in the previous year. The pictures may be super random, either of me, or me an my friends, or my lunch, or outfit or anything! But I'm super excited to share them on my blog. I've taken pictures for the first two days in 2012, but didn't have time to post my first one yesterday, and this may go for the rest of the year. I will definitely make it a point to take a picture everyday, but I may not post every single day. So hopefully my life is interesting enough to last the whole year!

"Whats on her nails?!": July 31st

I FINALLY made some sort of a French manicure look okay! I've spent hours and hours trying to make it work by myself and I finally did it! I just have to leave out the base color and use glitter to clean up my not so straight lines :)

What I used:
Clear Base/Top Coat
Sally Hanson French Manicure strips
Sally Hanson Hard as Nails white nail polish
Stripe Rite Pink Glitter Striper Polish

I started with a base coat, then applied the french manicure stickers. Then I painted the top portion of my nails with the white polish. Once dry, I took of the stickers and cleaned up the line where the white met my natural nail color with pink glitter, using a striper polish to make it super easy. And thats it! Maybe one day I'll actually be able to do a real french manicure on myself ahah :)

Gold and Glittery!
I'm going to a party and concert in the next few days and decided to go all out with the glitter nail polish! Since I haven't bought real nail polish in a really long time, I got kinda bored with plain nails ahah :)

Since glitter polish is really hard to remove, I first put two coats of OPI's "Bling Dynasty" (bottle shown in picture) before applying OPI's "Sparkle-icious" glitter polish until it mostly covered the gold!

I LOVE this color for summer, but I wanted to add a little something to them after having such an elaborate nail look on a few days before. Since my nail striper polishes were still new and very exciting, I decided to pull them out again!

On my nails: OPI's Melon of Troy. Then I took a silver stripe polish and painted a thin line along the top edges. I wanted a really opaque line so I used two coats of the glitter. It kinda reminds me of a fruity drink in a fancy glass with a sugar dipped rim. (or dipped in salt, but sugar is nicer to think of on your nails :) All I need is the little umbrella! :)

I recently bought nail art striper polishes and when I saw my friend Sarah do a nail tutorial with them, I decided to try it out!

For the main color, I used China Glazes "For Audrey". For the dark blue in the middle I used OPI's "Dating A Royal". Then for the white stripes and dots I used a white striper polish I bought at Sally's Beauty Supply from the brand Stripe Rite in "White."

Nadri Initial Pendants

I've gotten a ton of questions asking about the necklace I have been wearing in my recent videos. I actually found it and got the idea from a video that meganheartsmakeup made awhile ago, that she actually doesn't have up anymore. But it was a gift guide and it talked about things that boyfriends could get their girlfriends and she showed the necklace she had bought after she had just started going out with her boyfriend, Justin. And it was from nordstrom.com from the brand Nadri.

They come in both gold and silver, and in all the letters of the alphabet. I bought an "M" pendant for my boyfriend's initial, in gold. They cost $38. As other people in the reviews on the website state, I think it is the perfect size. It isn't an obnoxious blingy letter hanging around your neck, it is just a little understated and I get a lot of compliments on it.
